Homografía | Homography 2021

Tri Postal
avenue Fonsny
1060 Saint-Gilles

Homografía/Homography (H.H.) is a queer video & performance festival focused on sexuality beyond the norm. It's a programme of highly suggestive films, artworks, installations, and performances that evoke the relationship between body, sexuality, gender identity and artistic expression.

Created and taking place in Mexico since 2015, H.H. comes to Brussels for the third time after two explosive editions in 2019 and 2020. This year, the festival will take over two of the capital’s newest cultural hotspots, the Centre Tour à Plomb and Le Tri Postal, from 30 September to 2 October.

As political as it gets, in 2021 H.H. highlights queer resistance in face of threatening politics, showcasing 13 live performances and 36 films around a strong central theme: “Queer Activism – resisting everywhere, surviving then and now”. Through the lenses of over 98 artists and special guests from 22 countries, the festival will share different perspectives on current and past struggles of the LGBTQIA+ communities, making room for those resisting the political pressure and systemic danger inflicted by far-right politicians all over the world.

Going beyond the screens, festival-goers will also have the opportunity to join two special workshops, two exclusive book signings, visit H.H. 's unique exhibition, our well-known BlackBoXxX, and wrap up our three days of extreme queerness with a burning hot closing party!

Join us in exploring the diverse expressions of non-confirming masculinity, voyeurism, exhibitionism, feminism and art as ways to question traditional cultural values.
