Expo // Zam Zadeh // Bearable Lightness of Being

About the expo: Hope and despair, joy and sorrow, theory and practice, chicken and egg; this exhibition is about none of these. This exhibition goes beyond duality and separation. It is not concerned with dichotomies, but the common source of the opposites; This exhibition is about life, about its barely bearable lightness, the bearable lightness of being.

About the artist: Born in Isfahan (Iran), Azam Mazoumzadeh is an award-winning storyteller. She has a background in speculative narration (L’ERG, Belgium) and Digital storytelling from (Kask, Belgium). Her work has been shown in South Korea, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium.
In 2020, her virtual reality project based on the poetry of Omar Khayyam - Glad that I came, not sorry to depart, received a jury Prize at the Anima Festival.

Zam Zadeh nam deel aan de tweede editie van 1060 Pitch (PICTURE THIS!) in maart 2022. Tijdens die publieksavond kon het publiek beslissen over de programmatie van de exporuimte in GC Pianofabriek. 1060 Pitch is een initiatief voor talentontwikkeling van lokale kunstenaars, met steun van de Gemeente Sint-Gillis.
